The Institute for Scientific Interchange Foundation (ISI) welcomes
applications to fill one postdoctoral fellowship. The candidate is
expected to work in the broad area of socio-technical and biological
systems, where we expect to strengthen the interplay between data
science, theoretical modelling and web-based experiments.
Applications are welcome from candidates with a PhD in Physics,
Computer Science, Mathematics, and related fields. A strong interest
in interdisciplinary research is an imperative requisite, and fluency
in data analysis, modelling and computer programming are all equally
important. Experience in setting up web-based experiments will be
positively considered.
The successful applicant will join well established research lines at
ISI related to the area of computational social science: dynamics of
opinions, norms, innovations, information, emergence and evolution of
language, learning dynamics, quantitative aspects of social media.
The ISI Foundation offers a stimulating environment with different
groups working in interdisciplinary research on complex systems. The
duration of the fellowship is one year, and it is renewable for a
second year. We are able to guarantee competitive salaries.
Applications including a CV, a list of publications, and a description
of past research and future research interests, should be sent to
Vittorio Loreto (vittorio.loreto@isi.it). Applicants might be later
required to arrange for two letters of recommendation.
Applications will be considered upon their reception.
